Happy Labour Day! Friend Mindi's birthday (sorry Min, I forget how you are. Could it be 29?). Sage is such a good baby. Sorry all y'all with fussy babies, but Sage really is SO FAR *knocking vigourously on wood* just as laid back and content as Hayden ever was. He even lets me sleep for 4-6 hours at a time during the night. Usually it's just one 6 hour stretch from 10ish to 4ish, then needs another feeding at about 8ish, then 11ish, then more frequently in the afternoon/evening; a schedule I am very happy with. So far Jake and I are one-to-one with babies. Sage is my primary responsibility and Hayden is Jake's. Once another 3 weeks pass and I get the go-ahead to start lifting Hayden again, we can switch up, and then also Jake will be free to go find work.
Yesterday was very exciting because Hayden had a huge poop blow out, which he never has, and so did Sage. Both happened to Jake. Sage even decided to keep pooping during the diaper change, and the last bit came out with a fart and literally flew across 2 feet to hit Jake in the pantleg. I was trying to help but couldn't very well due to the fact that I was laughing so hard. Both of these incidents would have been funny enough on their own, but also, the day before yesterday Jake and I took the kids' feet and hand prints and then gave them both baths. Since Hayden had gotten paint everywhere (even on his tongue when he decided to try eating it) on himself and his dad, Jake decided to hop in the bath with Hayden to wash off. They were enjoying their bathing experience, and Hayden even showed Daddy that he could "motorboat" and blow bubbles. Unfortunately after a while he sucked in some water, gagged and threw up in the water. Jake jumped out of there so fast! Poor guy. Pooped on and puked on all over the place.

YAY! Happy Birthday to me! Yes, I am 29 now. Old, old, old. :)
Ahhh, how times change. Who ever thought that Jennifer Kathleen Racicot would be the one to be telling stories not only of babies, but of babies and the gross bodily function kinds of things they do. Hahaha! I remember when that NEVER would've happened. ;)
Glad you're enjoying life, marriage and motherhood so much. Congrats to you!!
xoxo
Mindi
