Darkness

I'm being ecologically friendly with my dark blog. It will take less energy for all your computers out there to project it. Yay for me! My carbon footprint went from a size 10 to a size 9.999999.

Enjoy.

I like the look of the blog! But where do you get to choose this? I only seem to have the boring options on Blogger. Please help.

I only have the boring options too.. this is called "minima dark". I don't even think I changed the font colours... I did add "Hussicots" to the actual picture in paintshop though, and then chose "instead of title and description" on the options.

Changing background colours and fonts and stuff happens in the Layout Tab, under "Fonts and Colours" but if you go to "Edit HTML" in the same tab, you can really have fun.

1.) First, download a copy of your template as it exists, to back it up. >Download Full Template

2.) Do a Google search for Blogger templates. There are lots. You can spend hours doing this. Beware. :)

3.) Save the template(s) you like to your hard drive.

4. ) Go back to the Layout/Edit HTML tab and upload a template from your hard drive: >Choose File

**I think somewhere in there you have to abandon the "Classic Template" style of editing. I'm not sure how this happens, because it was a long time ago that I did this, and now I have the "Expert Template Editing" or whatever. I'm sure this is very helpful to you. :)

If at any point you don't like what you did, reload your own original template backup.

The end.

If you have questions, forward them to my husband. ;)

Love C.

woo! I'm so excited to try this out... but worried that I will lose the entire blog. I will proceed with caution. On another note, did you see that you can now load your ENTIRE blog into a book format? SO cool. We will be doing this when we have some extra $$ (which is - never. sigh). Anyway, it would be like, the coolest coffee table book.

A book? Cool! I've been thinking about the whole photo album thing, and wondering why I have to do everything twice since I post most pictures online. That would be so easy. Hmmm.... hmm... hmmm....

WIth regards to your worry about losing your entire blog.... the only thing you might lose are the lists or links etc. on your homepage, if the template you choose doesn't have the same format. Just save your lists as text to re-input later if you have to. You won't lose the actual blog entries though. All you are changing is the template.
